A modern 10.8 mil EUR wastewater treatment plant officially opened in Bihac

A Waste water treatment plant Velhovo, a joint project of the City of Bihac, European Union, German Development Bank (KfW) and the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, worth 10.8 mil EUR was officially opened on 5 July 2017.

An official opening of the Wastewater Treatment Plant in Sarajevo

On 22 May 2017, a wastewater treatment plant in Sarajevo was officially opened.

Director General of the European Commission's Directorate for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations Christian Danielsson and Director of KJKP "Water Supply and Sewerage" Sarajevo have opened a Butila Wastewater Treatment Plant in Sarajevo, in which the EU has invested 13 million euros in the reconstruction.

5th Conference of the Danube Water Programme was held from 17-19 May 2017 in Vienna. The representatives from 17 countries of the Danube River Basin, as well as the representatives of international financial institutions attended the conference. This conference has become one of the most important events for the water sector experts in South East Europe and beyond. Topic of this year conference was „Challenges in financing water services for development“.
